Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Mira Staleva has been involved in different areas of audiovisual world in the last 20 years. She has been working with Sofia International Film Festival since its very beginning and she is currently managing director of the festival and head of Sofia Meetings, a co-production market in the frame of the festival focused on first and second time directors. She is also involved in production, distribution, exhibition and audience development projects. In 2016 she co-produced The King of the Belgians by Jessica Woodworth and Peter Brosens, which premiered at Venice Film Festival, and is currently coproducing Brighton 4 by Levan Koguashvili. She is a member of the European Film Academy and of the LUX Prize selection board.
