He travels with his mother Rafaella, an archaeologist who studies vanished sounds, in search of his father to a semi-abandoned coastal town, which is being swallowed by sand dunes and where migratory birds are disappearing due to the climate crisis. On this journey, Hugo will find his ancestry, both on his father's side, which is Uruguayan, and on his mother's side, which is Afro-Brazilian, in what becomes a true family archaeology.
