It tells us about the friendship between Emilio and Miguel, two elderly men who live in an old folk?s home. Emilio, who has just moved into the home and is showing the first signs of Alzheimer?s, is helped by Miguel and other residents to keep him from being moved to the top floor of the home, the much-feared storey for the ?assisted?, the label pinned on hopeless cases. Their mad plan injects comedy and tenderness to tedious everyday life in the home because, even if for many of them their lives had come to an end, for these fellows a new one has just begun.

When all her hopes are dashed, she realizes that friendship still exists in the Kibbutz and though things will never be the same, something new can flourish.
