The first film by Ángel Santos won the Nuevas Olas Award at the Seville Festival. Miguel travels to Pontevedra with the mission of finding locations for a film. The journey takes him back to the place he grew up, where he not only finds old friends, but also the opportunity of a new relationship.
Ángel Santos studied film directing at the Centre d’Estudis Cinematogràfics de Catalunya (CECC). Working since 2002, he tackles both fiction and documentary essay; between 2005 and 2011 he combined filmmaking with reviewing for various digital media (Miradas de Cine, Blogs & Docs, A Cuarta Parede). He is the helmer of the the short films Septiembre (2004), O cazador (2008), Sara y Juan (2009), Fantasmas#1 (2010) Dos Fragmentos / Eva (2011), Adolescentes (2011) and Fantasmas #2 (2012). Las altas presiones won the Best Film Award in the Nuevas Olas section of the Seville Festival in 2014.
