French directors Jean-Marie and Arnaud Larrieu's new film tells the story of Caroline, a woman who cuts her vacation short to organise the funeral of her mother, Isabelle, who has died suddenly at her house in the Pyrenees. She befriends Pattie who looks after her mother's house. But her funeral preparations take an unexpected twist when her mother’s body mysteriously disappears.
Brothers Arnaud and Jean-Marie Larrieu were born in Lourdes in 1965 and 1966, respectively. Having made several shorts, in 1999 they directed their first feature, Fin d’été, followed by Un homme, un vrai (2003), Peindre ou faire l’amour (To Paint or Make Love, 2005), Le voyage aux Pyrénées (2008), Les derniers jours du monde (Happy End, 2009) and L’amour est un crime parfait (Love is the Perfect Crime, 2013). They have also made several documentaries.
