Levan Tutberidze (Tbilisi, 1959) began his career as an actor in 1980, but soon moved on to directing. Until now he has helmed some twelve works, including documentaries, TV films and the features Nazares ukanaskneli lotsva (Last Prayer of Nazari, 1989), Tsarsulis achrdilebi (Shadows of the Past, 1996), Gaseirneba Karabaghshi (Trip to Karabakh, 2005), Ushenod mgoni movkvdebi (I’ll Die Without You, 2010) and Tskhra mtas iqit (The Village, 2015). He also participated in the anthology film, Tbilisi, I Love You (2013).
