The latest film by filmmaker Anca Damian (Crulic) landed a special mention at the Karlovy Vary Festival. In the form of an animated docudrama, the biography of Adam Jacek Winker, a Polish refugee in Paris, portrays a boundless life driven by the desire to change the world.
Anca Damian, director, screenwriter and producer, debuted in 2008 with her first feature film, Intlniri incrucisate (Crossing Dates), followed by Crulic drumul spre dincolo (Crulic – The Path to Beyond, 2011), which captured international attention and was selected for festivals including Locarno, BFI London and Annecy, garnering more than 35 awards. O vara foarte instabila (A Very Unsettled Summer, 2013), her third film, landed three awards from the Romanian Filmmakers’ Union.
