Some instruments, like trumpets, make us think of courage. Others, like the flute, of sweetness. And there are others, like the organ, which steal the soul from the heavenly (Aristoteles). My whole family has turned to Catholicism. The distance between them was growing by the day, so I decided to make a film to understand how the Holy Spirit had entered their lives and, somehow, mine too. A film about fondness, absences, empty spaces and distances”. (David Arratibel)

His documentary Oírse (2013) won, among others, the Best Medium-length Film at the Alcances Festival. Converso won the People's Choice Award at the Punto de Vista Festival in Pamplona and was named Best Documentary Director at the Malaga Festival.
