Nur eta herensugearen tenplua / Nur and the Dragon Temple
Zinemira

Nur moves with her parents to live in China. There she makes new friends and today she is about to celebrate the birthday of one of them, Guo Guo. They meet for the occasion at an immense amusement park; however, while playing they realise that the guest of honour has disappeared. Their search for the boy will lead them into a maze; to get out they must solve the mysteries as they come to them, thereby enabling them to make their way past the dragon at each of the nine doors.

BIOGRAPHY

Considered to be the forerunner of animated cinema in the Basque Country, Juan Bautista Berasategi debuted in 1977 with the animation short Ekialdeko izarra, followed by Fernando Amezketarra (1981) and Kukubiltxo (1983). In 1985 he directed Kalabaza tripontzia, the first full-length animated feature film in the history of Basque cinema. He continued with Astakiloen abenturak eta kalenturak (Aventuras y desventuras, 1987), based on screenplay by Bernardo Atxaga. In 1991 he premiered Balearenak (Balleneros) and in 1997, the Goya-nominated Ahmed, príncipe de la Alhambra (Ahmed, Prince of Alhambra). Deceased in April, Nur is his posthumous film.
