BIOGRAPHY

Bi Gan is a screenwriter and director. With his short film Diamond Sutra he received a Special Mention in 2013 in the Asian New Force category of the Incubator for Film and Visual Media in Asia (IFVA). Lu bian ye can (Kaili Blues, 2015), his feature debut, won the Best Emerging Director Award at the Locarno Festival, among others. The second, Di qiu zui hou de ye wan (Long Day’s Journey into Night), premiered in the Un Certain Regard section at the last Cannes Festival.
