What life chances are left when a territory is completely altered? On the slopes of the Navarrese Pyrenees, the construction of the Itoiz dam in the 1990s flooded seven towns and three nature reserves. A strip of bare land at the height of elevation 592 today marks a dividing line in the landscape of the valley. Below the level, the water; above, life goes on.

Belmonte, interested in portraying the human being, their folds, their disproportion, is soon to put on a painting exhibition at the Museum of Visual Arts in Montevideo, but he is more occupied with thoughts of the changes underway in his family: his ex-wife is pregnant by another man, and he realises that his daughter, Celeste, will spend less time with him when her little brother is born. Belmonte needs the bearings of being with his daughter, preparing her lunch, taking her to school and, above all, of starting to share with her his interior world without concealing his concerns, even if they are those of an adult.

A documentary about Ingmar Bergman focussing on a hugely important year in his career, 1957, when he directed the masterpieces Det sjunde inseglet (The Seventh Seal) and Smultronstället (Wild Strawberries). However, more than simply looking at Bergman’s artistic facet, it addresses his private life like never before, particularly his stormy sentimental relationship with women, including several of the actresses he worked with.

De Natura is an improvised poem, a peaceful and cheerful walk taken by two little girls in the middle of the nature, away from the eyes of grown-ups. But the joy gradually starts disappearing and the reverie becomes nostalgia, while at the edge of the road, among the rotting summer fruit, faint faces appear. The cycle of life does not diminish the magic of the world, no matter whether it is lit by the moon or by the sun.

Inspired in the Colonia Dignidad case, La casa lobo (The Wolf House) pretends to be an animated fairy tale produced by the sect leader to indoctrinate his followers.

In 1982, Argentina and UK fought the Falklands War. The war ended with the British military victory and took about 1,000 lives from both sides. While the conflict took place years ago, the sovereignty of the islands is still in dispute. Theatre of War tells the story of how six veterans from the Falklands War came together to make a film. Almost thirty-five years after the conflict, three British and three Argentine veterans spent months together discussing their war memories. This film is a way of showing the whole social experiment of making an artistic project with one-time enemies of war: the auditions to find the protagonists, the first meetings and discussions with them, the theatrical re-enactments of their memories in different scenarios: a swimming pool, a construction site, a military regiment. All the scenes in the film are at the same time authentic and artificial.

Three women meet by chance at the end of the world and set out on a polyamorous journey which will change them to the extent of returning them to their native city as different people. Subjects who suffer from the established order, from the irreversible nature of passion and from the Utopian approach of a single love, they are caught up in the search for new kinds of relationships, far from possession and pain as the unavoidable finality of love and obeying none of the rules. That’s how they become The Daughters of Fire: a band dedicated to accompanying other women in the search for their own erotica, for the way each one wants to be in a world ignorant of the voluptuousness of detachment.

Sobre cosas que me han pasado is based on the book by author Marcelo Matthey, narrating his own life in a style reminiscent of school compositions. His constant strolls through streets, houses and beaches are recorded in notes of what he saw, felt or thought during these wanderings or moments, but almost only recalling the processes, the timeline in which things occur and come to mind, the trail of associations coming one after the other, like the steps of a person walking along a street. Immediate impressions, fleeting moments normally lost in time and which are captured in the images and sounds of this short film.
